Service Description
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) certified in both substance use disorders and mental health disorders. I primarily use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & I am DBT trained. I primarily work with clients diagnosed w/ substance use disorders, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar & other mood disorders. What is Spiritual therapy? It is a holistic approach to mental and emotional well-being that integrates spiritual practices and beliefs into the therapeutic process. It acknowledges the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, recognizing that spiritual needs and beliefs can significantly impact a person's overall health. Spiritual therapy is not tied to any specific religion and can be beneficial for individuals with diverse spiritual backgrounds, including those who identify as religious, spiritual but not religious, or those simply seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world. Spiritual therapy considers the whole person, including their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions. Integration of Spiritual Practices: It incorporates various spiritual practices like meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, guided visualizations, and energy work, like Shamanic healing, alongside traditional evidence-based therapies like CBT & DBT. Spiritual therapy helps individuals explore the deeper meaning and purpose of their lives, their beliefs about the world, and how these beliefs influence their experiences. It acknowledges a sense of connection to something larger than oneself, whether it's referred to as God, Creator, the Universe, or the Higher Self. Addressing Spiritual Bypassing: It's important to address spiritual bypassing, which is when spirituality is used to avoid dealing with difficult emotions or experiences. When working with me, we will address this first hand. You must email me at stariari333@gmail.com, if I do not receive a cancellation email within 48 Hours before your appointment, you will not receive your Full Refund. If you contact me less than 48 hrs you will receive a 50% refund. I have the right to deny any bookings based on any violations of my booking policy which includes more than 2 cancellations, and/or safety concerns. Cancelling and rescheduled more than twice is not allowed. You will be penalized: You will receive a refund of 50% and you will not be allowed to reschedule or schedule an appointment with me for 3 months. No show fees ($10) will be deducted for no correspondence/ no show appointments.
